What are A&A works?
A&A stands for Addition and Alteration. It covers work that changes or adds to an existing building without rebuilding it, such as removing or adding walls, extensions, new floors, structural strengthening and façade changes. Some A&A jobs in Singapore need plans submitted by a Qualified Person (QP) before work can start.
Overview
Renovation & A&A Works in Singapore
When a renovation involves several trades, the hardest part is getting them to work in the right order. We plan the job as a whole: protection, hacking, new walls and ceilings, plastering, painting and finishes, with your electrician, plumber and carpenter scheduled around them.
LING-E has been registered with BCA for interior decoration and finishing works (CR06). For larger A&A jobs we work with your architect, engineer or QP on the submissions and approvals the job needs.

FAQ
Renovation & A&A Works: questions clients ask
Can you handle the whole renovation?
Yes. We plan and coordinate the whole job, carry out the building and finishing works ourselves, and schedule specialist trades such as electrical and plumbing.
Do I need a permit for my renovation?
It depends on the work and the building. Hacking walls in HDB flats, for example, needs HDB approval, and some A&A works need a QP submission. We tell you what applies before you commit.
Can we stay in the home during the renovation?
For smaller jobs, often yes, by working room by room and keeping areas protected. For larger jobs we will tell you honestly when it is better to move out.
How do you keep the renovation on schedule?
We agree a programme with milestones before work starts, order materials early and update you with photos as the work progresses.
Do you give a warranty?
We rectify defects that come from our workmanship. The terms are written into the quotation so you know exactly what is covered.
